Would you let Miley Cyrus make life-changing decisions for you?

In Miley Cyrus we trust? While I am personally not sold on the idea yet—although curiosity beckons—TikTok users are in fact completely trusting the celebrity with the fate of their major life decisions. So far, she has set up a marriage, approved of tattoos and forced E! News to change its Instagram bio, and more. Here’s how Cyrus is making life-changing decisions for TikTok users.

Since the musician and actress Cyrus released her seventh studio album, Plastic Hearts, she appears to have transitioned from pop star to life coach due to a significant number of her fans promising on their TikTok accounts to do certain things “if Miley Cyrus comments.” One video that made the trend go viral, posted by @de4dangel saw a (very) young couple kissing, with the caption “If Miley Cyrus comments, we will get married.” Low and behold, in the comments Cyrus wrote “Hope it goes better for you two than it did for me,” and so do I.

To participate, all you have to do is write something like “I’ll go skydiving if Miley Cyrus comments,” and then wait to see if she does, which odds are looking like she most probably will. Cyrus seems to be spending a lot of time scrolling through TikTok. One TikTok user wrote “If Miley Cyrus comments I’ll get whatever tattoo she says,” to which Cyrus responded, “How about the time and place of our first date?” Yes, she said our first date. Hottest new couple alert?

One I really give the singer props for came via Instagram. E! News promised to change its Instagram bio to “whatever Miley wants” and she jumped on it by suggesting: “We’re sorry for all the sh*t we said about Miley Cyrus.” E! News has obliged.

“This is a lot of pressure y’all give Miley some time,” one user wrote, which is exactly what I thought after a mother Michaela Love (@michaelalove_), invited the star to literally choose her next baby’s name. Mixed feelings, and mixed comments, but then another TikToker said “Imagine being named by Miley Cyrus,” which is quite ironic when you think about it. It took Cyrus a day for her to respond, but the singer picked the name “California”…Love said she loved it, hope the baby does too.

The reason as to why Cyrus is doing all of this isn’t all that surprising, but TikToker @spotifystalker asked the question anyway “Why is she doing this?”, to which Cyrus replied “QUARANTINE.” It looks like even the most famous and high scheduled profiles also get sucked into the social media wormhole like the rest of us.
