Snoop Dogg has made headlines for giving his full-time blunt roller a pay rise in line with the rise in inflation seen in the US as well as many other countries. The artist, who has made a name for himself outside of music for his avid use of the drug, first created the job position in 2019 when he found he didn’t have time to roll his own joints.

Speaking on The Howard Stern Show at the time, the ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ rapper said: “Timing. That motherfucker’s timing is impeccable. That’s his job, his occupation. On his resume, it says, ‘What do you do?’ ‘I’m a blunt roller. P-B-R, professional blunt roller’.”

“If you’re great at something I need, I’m hiring you,” the weed enthusiast continued. He also shared further details pertaining to the salary and extra benefits that come with being his right-hand blunt man, “[It’s] somewhere between $40,000 (£31,000) and $50,000 (£39,900) a year. Free weed—all paid expenses. Everything I get, he gets. I go get some free clothes, I give him some.”

However, a lot has changed in the world since 2019—let’s not even mention it—and it’s becoming increasingly difficult for many to survive. The rapper, one of the better employers out there it seems, made sure that his most treasured employee received a pay rise.

In a response to an UberFacts tweet that highlighted this ‘PBR’ fact, Snoop Dogg explained, “Inflation. Their salary went up!”

The replies are flooded with users trying to have a crack at being hired for the same and honestly, we don’t blame them.
