Unlike a lot of girls who grew up in the 2000s, I never had a particular obsession with Kate Moss or Alexa Chung. Instead of impatiently awaiting their latest at Glastonbury festival looks, I was watching Glee and forming a pretty unhealthy obsession with Tom Hardy.

But I’d be lying if I said that I’ve never fantasised about trudging a pair of Hunter wellies through the mud at Glasto and smuggling litres worth of John Frieda’s purple shampoo into the festival grounds to keep my highlights in check. While I know I’ll never reach Moss or Chung’s level of teepee tent chic, I’m still keen to embrace my British roots.

So, this year, myself and a group of friends decided to try our luck and attempt to nab some Glastonbury tickets. We’ve strategised and researched for weeks on how best to score tickets and I think we’ve finally perfected the process. With the first drop of tickets going on sale in only a few days, it’s crucial you listen up and follow these simple steps if you want to be in with a chance of shaking your ass to Madonna next summer.

Think of me as your sweet blonde fairy godmother, providing you with a step-by-step guide that is so organised and perfected that even if you have an episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on in the background, you’ll still nab a win.

When do Glastonbury 2024 tickets go on sale?

Glastonbury 2024 tickets which include coach travel will be released on Thursday 16 November 2023 at 6 pm GMT. General admission tickets, meaning tickets that don’t include any travel add-ons, will be dropped on Sunday 19 November at 9 am GMT.

But before you start worrying about the drops, don’t forget to pre-register! Without your personalised registration number, you won’t be able to access any tickets and then you’ll have to balance out your FOMO by investing in a lot of margaritas—been there, done that.

How much are Glastonbury tickets?

Glastonbury tickets can cost upwards of £350, however, you’re only going to be required to pay a £75 deposit at the time of purchase. That being said, don’t Klarna the hell out of this payment, because if you forget or fail to follow up later on down the line with the rest of the money, you might lose your tickets.

How to get Glastonbury tickets

One of your top priorities should be inserting yourself into a group of six—there is strength in numbers, okay? You’ll have more of a chance of securing tickets if you’re in a team. Since one person can book up to six tickets, that’s the ideal number to aim for. If anyone even thinks about bringing an extra bestie along, it’s up to you to cut that crap off real quick.

According to the Glasto gods, being in a group of six increases your success rate by 500 per cent. Who knows if that’s actually true though at this point. While the group chat might drive you clinically insane, it’ll be worth it, trust me.

Once you have your peeps together and you’ve come up with an appropriately cute name for it, it’s time to get your spreadsheet on. I know, spreadsheets can be triggering and also stupidly confusing but, believe me when I say, it’ll prove to be your best friend during the buying process. Also, they have tons of personalisation options! Stick some pink on here and there and get cracking, hun.

The main information you’re going to need from each member of your group is: name, registration number, postcode, whether or not they’ll be travelling by coach, and if so, where their departure city will be.

Because I’m the sweetest little human, I’ve created a super cute slay template for you all to have a looksie at so that you know what you’re doing. You’re welcome:

On the day of the ticket drop, it’s crucial to have at least four alarms set to ensure you don’t oversleep. Also, I’d recommend swiping a work laptop or iPad so that you have multiple devices to try and get tickets on. This is a lengthy process, so get that oat latte down you and potentially try to emotionally sabotage your flatmate into making banana pancakes for a protein kick.

Also, there have been rumblings that if you choose a rogue coach journey, aka you don’t go from London, it increases your chances of securing a spot. I personally plan on travelling to Newcastle to catch my coach—girl logic.

It might feel as though Glasto tickets are an unreachable feat, but it can be done. You simply have to be clever about your strategy and make sure that every member of your group is up to speed with the plan.

If you take one thing from this article—you know, aside from all those vital tips and tricks—I’d love for it to be that you should definitely come back to your favourite blonde’s column because of just how fabulous it is. Hehe, mwah.
