Watch video of Sleepy Joe Biden confuse the war in Ukraine with the US invasion of Iraq

It’s no understatement to say that we’ve now seen one too many videos of the current US President Joe Biden mix something up, fall over, or straight-up stare off into the distance with a look of bewilderment. As sad as it is to admit, the following video feels like the norm now for the 80-year-old. Be warned—it’s hard to watch.

The video from Wednesday 28 June 2023, saw reporters questioning Biden over whether recent events in Russia have weakened Vladimir Putin, and is painful to say the least. It’s like watching your grandpa mix you up with your dad. 80 is not the age to be running a country, let alone one of Earth’s biggest superpowers. I’m not sure I’d even trust anyone in their 70s to be perfectly honest with you.

It’s incredibly ironic too, given that the politician confuses the invasion of Ukraine with the war in Iraq, a ruthless campaign initiated by the US, one that has proven to be incredibly controversial and contentious in an age of waning Pax Americana, civil unrest and a growing battle against Big Oil.

This isn’t the first time Biden has slipped up during his term in office either. Remember his slip and fall only weeks ago at the Air Force Academy graduation ceremony? Yep, that was a tough one.

Biden’s unfortunate mishaps don’t stop there either. Only last week, the President was filmed mistakenly placing his hand on his heart as the Indian national anthem played. The gesture is commonplace for the US national anthem, not the case for India’s. The slow hand drop once he realises kills us.

I’ll never forget how Biden’s presidency began with him slipping while climbing the steps up to Air Force One. To be fair, it looks kind of windy. Maybe?

The Democrats need a strong candidate in the upcoming election if they’re to stop the increasingly radical and dangerous Republican party. It’s sad to admit, but Biden isn’t inspiring confidence in the already struggling Democratic party.

Are people in their 70s and 80s really fit to run a country? Should they even be allowed to? I’m not sure how people as old as our grandparents—let alone somebody who was born during World War II, in Biden’s case—can understand and relate to the seriously complex and important struggles that Americans are facing.
