It’s undeniable that Ariana Grande has had a great weekend. After shaking off the haters in her new bop ‘Yes, And?’ which debuted on Friday 12 January 2024 and is currently occupying number one on Spotify, the pop sensation also got to kiss her stalker goodbye for the next few years. Here’s exactly what went down with Grande’s creep.

Who is Aharon Zebulun Israel Brown?

On the same day Grande released her new single, TMZ reported that her long-time stalker Aharon Zebulun Israel Brown has pleaded guilty to charges of stalking, residential burglary and making criminal threats.

Brown has followed the ‘Thank U, Next’ singer from around 2021 to 2022 and reportedly broke into her Hollywood Hills mansion at least 92 times in 2021. One of these times, he was even armed with a hunting knife and yelled at Grande’s security: “I’ll f*cking kill you and her!” The stalker tried to flee when police were called to the scene, but the altercation ended with him in custody.

At the time, the singer obtained a five-year restraining order against him, however, Brown still broke into her Montecito property in 2022, using a screwdriver to cut her telephone lines and the wires to her alarm system. He also sent Grande harassing messages on Instagram.

Brown has now been convicted and will be sentenced to three years and eight months in state prison. His incarceration will be served in a California state prison. In addition to the prison sentence, there will also be a new restraining order effective for ten years.

Grande has hinted that she will be dropping a whole new album in 2024.

While the details are yet to be confirmed, it is likely that ‘Yes, And?’ will be its lead single. The track has been called a “defiant kiss-off to the haters” that shows clear references to Madonna’s ‘Vogue’ and Beyoncé’s ‘Don’t Break My Soul.’ Critics believe that the catchy dance tune is heralding a new era for Grande in which she is “so done with caring,” or attempting to “change her most authentic life.”
