Earlier this year, reality TV star and lawyer-in-training Kim Kardashian was one among the many celebrities who sparked backlash for routinely using their private jets for trips under 15 minutes. Now, it seems like climate criminalism comes with its own set of etiquettes, as Kardashian herself has revealed a list of strict rules for guests boarding her $150 million private jet—and her own family members are no exception.

In a recent episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians, the SKIMS mogul was seen chatting on a video call with her sister Kendall Jenner ahead of their trip to Milan for a Prada fashion show. When Kardashian was updating Jenner about the details of their departure, the latter stated: “I’m just going to go get a quick spray tan and then I’ll be ready.”

It’s safe to say that Kardashian was anything but pleased. “A spray tan before my flight?” she queried immediately. Jenner then backtracked and said: “No, it’s a three-hour one so I sit in it for three hours and then shower it off.”

At this point, Kardashian reminded the world that no one can come between her and Kim Air, the G650ER aircraft (same model as the one owned by Jeff Bezos) she reportedly built from scratch and spent a year customising. “Have you seen the cashmere seats?” the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star said. “You cannot get your spray tan on my cashmere seats.”

When Jenner asked for pasta as an in-flight meal ahead of their trip, Kardashian also made it clear that it wouldn’t be on the menu. “We’re going to be in fucking Italy. We’re not going to eat pasta before we go,” she said. “Let me know if you like any snacks because I have waffles and I have a freezer so, like, I live it up on there,” she added.

This is not the first time Kardashian has addressed the rules she has implemented on Kim Air. In a June 2022 episode of The Kardashians, the SKKN founder gave fans an MTV Cribs-style tour of the jet and revealed that she has forbidden shoes on board. “I’m gonna do no shoes on the plane and get custom SKIMS slippers. Wouldn’t it be so cute if I made custom SKIMS in this colour, like pyjamas, socks, and blankets and slippers?” she said, later adding: “Don’t breathe. Don’t touch a thing.”

It was the very same episode that also made fans rip into the business mogul’s obsession with her “joy ride” that reportedly uses a whopping two tons of carbon dioxide per trip.

“Usually planes are dark with lighter leather—mine, I had custom all light wood,” Kardashian explained in the episode. “I had a bathroom put in the front, a bathroom in the back. Every seat has its own phone charger. The best, most exciting part of the plane is, it’s all cashmere. Cashmere ceilings, pillows, headrests. I feel like I’m doing an MTV Cribs for planes, ugh, what a dream!”
