17 viral AI-generated songs, from Sprinter by a toothbrush to Hips Don’t Lie by Cartman

Back when the internet went abuzz with the likes of ChatGPT and Midjourney, it became clear that AI trends had evolved outside of the more serious fields it had been associated with up until now. It’s around that time that we saw TikTok get inundated with AI-generated cover songs. It brought us a cover of Drake’s ‘Passionfruit’ by Ariana Grande and another of Justin Bieber’s ‘Love Yourself’ by Kanye West.

A couple of months into the trend and big popstars and rappers have now been replaced with toothbrushes, South Park’s Eric Cartman, and even Toad of the Super Mario franchise. Although I can’t give you much of an explanation as to why exactly everyone seems so obsessed with these viral yet very strange covers, I can bring you an extensive list of the best ones out there:
