Florence Pugh‘s mother is out here giving us a masterclass on how to live your best life. While we were sipping on our herbal tea, Deborah Mackin was getting high with none other than weed expert Snoop Dogg at the Oscars 2020. Yes, you read that right.

During a recent Jimmy Kimmel Live appearance, the 28-year-old actress, along with her Dune: Part Two co-stars Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, and Austin Butler engaged in a round of the show’s iconic ‘True or False?’ game.

It was during this entertaining segment that Pugh made the unlikely confession about her mother getting “young, wild, and free” with Snoop Dogg—who, to be fair, is known to enjoy the presence of mature women such as Martha Stewart.

When Pugh attended the 92nd Academy Awards, both her parents accompanied her as she was nominated for her Little Women role. But her mom and dad didn’t just come with her to the Oscars ceremony, they were with her at a few after-parties as well.

The actress told Jimmy Kimmel, “We went to the after-parties and… my mom disappeared for an hour. She came back and she’d… got high with Snoop Dogg.”

Adding to the hilarity, Pugh then reminisced about the time she crossed paths with the rapper at an Oppenheimer celebration. In a playful exchange with Snoop Dogg at the 2023 party, she teasingly accused him, saying: “You… you got my mom high.” Snoop, in his laid-back style, responded with a nonchalant: “Where are you baby? I miss you!”

This latest story about the beloved snapper, who’s also known for microwaving his blunts and having his own professional blunt roller, was revealed not long after Snoop tried to trick everyone into believing that he had officially quit smoking. It soon became clear that the whole resolution was nothing more than a PR stunt to promote Solo Stove’s wood-burning fire pit.
