On Monday 11 December 2023, American singer Alicia Keys surprised commuters in London with an impromptu performance of some of her biggest hits inside St Pancras International.

Playing on a public piano donated by Sir Elton John, the Grammy-winner had the crowd singing along and cheering to her songs, including ‘If I Ain’t Got You’, ‘Empire State of Mind’ and her recently released single, ‘Lifeline’.

Cheers rang out as she changed the lyrics of ‘Empire State Of Mind’ from “now you’re in New York” to “now you’re in London.”
