The fear of roller coasters usually stems from one of three things: fear of heights, the thought of potential accidents and triggers linked to fear of being entrapped by restraints. But if you’re someone who’s scared of roller coaster rides, you already know that logic isn’t your friend in the face of loops and steep spirals.

On the other hand, if you’re a big fan of speed, conquering fear and the positive effects associated with a massive rise in physiological arousal, then you probably have forced one of your friends or even someone you’re dating to get on a ride with you. And they most definitely didn’t enjoy it as much as you did.

That’s exactly what happened to a couple that is currently going viral on TikTok. In a clip shared by @trending_celeb.clips, a man can be seen at the very front of a roller coaster, sitting beside his girlfriend. Though the woman looks excited, the man can be heard repeatedly saying, “I don’t want to do this” when the ride starts going forward.

As the woman starts lifting her arms in the air like a real roller coaster pro, the man starts to panic, yelling about the fact that he never wanted to go on it in the first place—followed by a number of obscenities. But it only gets worse for the couple, as the train reaches the top preceding a loop, the man blurts out, “I don’t want to do this! Oh my God, I want to break up. I want to break up.”

As her boyfriend simply groans in pain beside her, the woman’s smile, as well as arms, quickly drop. She turns towards the man slightly and leans in to make sure she heard him right. “What?” she asks him as the ride continues to shake them left and right. “Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit,” answers the man, followed by more groaning.

As the roller coaster starts slowing down, the woman asks again, “What did you just say?” Her boyfriend answers, “I want to break up. I can’t do this.” Right at this moment, the ride starts again, going down what looks like a gnarly loop.

As the man continues to suffer, it’s now very clear that his (almost ex-) girlfriend is not having one bit of fun anymore.

As you can expect after this intense and wild ride, the second part of the footage shows the now-broken up couple sitting in awkward silence. Not a word is said until, eventually, the woman is heard saying, “I can’t believe you did this to me.” The man apologises, another silence follows and finally, the ride ends.
