One of my all-time favourite things to do on the internet is to look at celebrity mugshots. You can learn a lot about someone simply by the way in which they pose for a mugshot—it’s a pretty vulnerable setting. Some will pretend they don’t care, some will play up for the camera, and some will just throw a temper tantrum.

That brings us to the potentially most controversial former President of the United States that society has ever seen: Donald Trump. It’s not been a great year for the tangerine-tinted lunatic, but it recently got that bit worse when he was required to pose for a mugshot after surrendering himself to the Fulton County sheriff’s office following his recent indictment in the Georgia election interference case.

Naturally, the former US politician took it upon himself to look as pissed off as humanely possible. Netizens just couldn’t seem to get enough of the image, circulating it widely and jokingly speculating that it wouldn’t be long before camp Trump turned the mugshot into merch.

I don’t fancy dwelling too much on Trump’s illegal antics today, so instead, let’s take a trip down memory lane and consider some of the most iconic celebrity mugshots of all time. And yes, the queen of mugshots, Miss Paris Hilton, will be featured on this list.

1. Justin Bieber

Of course we had to kick things off with Justin Bieber himself, or as I like to refer to him, the smiliest Canadian in the sheriff’s office.

2. Khloe Kardashian

Khloe Kardashian, slaying as we know she always does. Only a Kardashian could look that smug and dolled up in a mugshot. They really are the blueprint.

3. Paris Hilton

Okay, I take it back. No one can rival the smugness and overall slay of Miss Hilton. The hotel heiress was caught with a bag of cocaine falling out of her designer purse. Name a more iconic moment, I’ll wait.

4. Bruno Mars

I had to include Bruno Mars in this list, primarily because, was I the only person who had no idea that Mars had ever been arrested? As to be expected, the singer looks as boyish and innocent in his mugshot as he did when he first performed ‘Just the Way You Are’.

5. Lindsay Lohan

I couldn’t possibly write a list about celebrity mugshots and omit Lindsay Lohan. This particular photo might not have been her last mugshot, but it was definitely her most confused.
