Whether you grew up obsessively watching Disney’s iconic animated movies or not, you simply can’t deny the influence the entertainment conglomerate has had on countless people’s childhood. And while Scar and Cruella de Vil scarred us for life (no pun intended), Ariel, Cinderella, Mulan and many other Disney princesses taught us life lessons we still use as adults.

Well, tell your inner child to buckle up, because they’re in for a bumpy ride. Speaking about her former experience as a real-life Cinderella at Disneyland Resort, California, on YouTubers Cody Ko and Noel Miller’s Tiny Meat Gang (TMG) podcast, American Twitch streamer QTCinderella—real name Blaire—revealed worrying and downright problematic details about the rules she had to abide by when working in the amusement park.

After being invited for episode 256 of TMG, QTCinderella casually mentioned that before becoming widely known as the creator and co-host of The Streamer Awards, she used to work at The Walt Disney Company’s amusement park in Anaheim, California.

Beginning her full-on confession with a casual mention of the heat, the streamer said, “You have a zone, and you can’t be out there for too long because you get overheated obviously and kids are aggressive.” But as Ko and Miller are heard laughing in the background, hinting at how awful it sounds to work with children all day long, QTCinderella added, “It’s actually not the kids.”

“The worst part is the dads,” she continued. “As a princess, if a dad grabs your ass,” she began explaining, only to be interrupted by Ko’s honest shock at the incident even being a possibility. “What? That happens?” the YouTuber asked Blaire, only for her to answer: “Oh yeah! Are you serious? You’re taking a photo with the whole family, they will just—,” finishing her sentence with a motion of her hand grabbing ‘something’ harshly.

She went on to explain how nowadays, actors playing Disney characters—especially princesses—in the company’s amusement parks have to be escorted around the grounds. If they ever end up in a situation such as the one mentioned previously, they must use a code word that was agreed upon beforehand so that their escort knows something’s wrong.

“Mine was talking about Lucifer—Cinderella’s step mom’s cat. I would just randomly start bringing up Lucifer and they would pull me out of the situation. But if your ass is being grabbed, you can’t be like ‘Stop’ because Cinderella would not say stop…”

A silence followed QTCinderella’s shocking statement. “That sounded so bad,” she then embarrassedly added. “But you know, you’re playing a character, you can’t just ruin the child’s experience by telling their dad to stop grabbing your ass.”

You’d think that if there is any scenario where it’s okay to break the princess illusion, it would be that one. Well, not according to Disney’s strict rules. QTCinderella mentioned another occasion, years ago, when she tried to stop a man from touching her by staying in character and saying, “Oh, Prince Charming wouldn’t like that.”

Regardless of her ‘creativity’, the streamer explained that she received a bit of a talking-to for it. Last but not least, QTCinderella remembered a repeat offender who was known for grabbing princesses across the park and trying to kiss them. Though most dads never get thrown out of the amusement resort, this one did.
