Conspiracy theorists believe Amber Heard’s daughter Oonagh is ex Elon Musk’s love child

In July 2021, actress Amber Heard—who was more recently at the centre of a very public and highly controversial trial during which ex-husband Johnny Depp sued her for defamation, and ultimately won—revealed the existence of her daughter, Oonagh Paige, who was born on 8 April of that same year.

The news came as a surprise to many due to the fact that the newborn arrived via surrogacy after medical advice suggested that Heard couldn’t carry her own children. In other words, she never had a baby bump, so no one suspected anything of the sort.

Heard spoke openly about her decision to use a surrogate mother in order to welcome Oonagh into this world, taking to Instagram to share the exciting news. “Four years ago, I decided I wanted to have a child. I wanted to do it on my own terms,” she wrote, probably in reference to her then-recent split from Depp after being married to him for 15 months until May 2016.

“I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way,” the actress continued, alluding to surrogacy as her path to parenthood.

“I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalised to not want a ring in order to have a crib. A part of me wants to uphold that my private life is none of anyone’s business. I also get that the nature of my job compels me to take control of this,” Heard added.

What the Aquaman actress never shared, however, is exactly who the sperm donor, aka Oonagh Paige’s father is. And with Heard heavily hinting at Depp not being her daughter’s father during their infamous trial, some netizens seem to be convinced that her ex-boyfriend, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk is her secret baby daddy.

Is Elon Musk Amber Heard’s baby’s father?

After getting cosy at the 2016 Met Gala, Heard and Musk dated on and off. Just to give you an idea of how bumpy their relationship was, it only took a couple of months for them to announce their breakup after revealing that they were officially dating in April 2017. In an even more confusing turn of events, they continued seeing each other after their split before breaking up again in 2018.

Although it’s impossible to confirm whether Musk is Oonagh’s biological father, the odd couple’s relationship timeline does seem to align with Heard’s entrance into motherhood. In June 2022 however, Geo TV reported that Icons +—a source that, it should be noted, SCREENSHOT couldn’t find anywhere online—had alleged that a friend close to Hear had revealed who her baby girl’s father is.

“A friend of the actress’ mother revealed that she ‘welcomed the baby via a plan to secure herself in case she became financially troubled.’ The friend went on to add that when Heard was dating billionaire Elon Musk, the couple made the decision to freeze their embryos, indicating that it is in fact the Tesla owner who is the real father of Heard’s baby girl,” Geo TV wrote.

What did Elon Musk say about his relationship with Amber Heard?

During an interview for the podcast On With Kara Swisher, Walter Isaacson, the writer of Musk’s 2023 biography who spent two years shadowing him, revealed that the billionaire’s relationship with Heard hurt him the most—even more than Musk’s complicated relationship with his father.

“The storm and turmoil that both sides tell me about, this is not a matter of dispute, that was part of the attraction,” Isaacson said on the podcast. “Part of the theme of this life is this person is attracted to drama and storm. When things are calm, he surges—he buys Twitter or whatever. So, this is true of the relationship with Amber. Nothing hurt him more than that relationship.”

As stated by Insider, the book described a “psychological turmoil” in many of Musk’s romantic relationships. “It recounted Musk’s and Heard’s first meeting: She asked if she could visit SpaceX a year after the two worked on the action film Machete Kills, Heard as a star and Musk as a consultant. Isaacson also documented the explosive fights in their relationship, writing, ‘She and Musk would stay up all night fighting, and then he would not be able to get up until the afternoon’.”

In the biography, Heard said that she loved Musk “very much” but added that “Elon loves fire and sometimes it burns him.” When Isaacson asked Musk for his views on his romantic history, the Tesla CEO responded: “I am often a fool, but especially for love.”

Meanwhile, musician Grimes, Musk’s ex with whom he shares three children, told Isaacson that Musk “associates love with being mean or abusive” because of his relationship with his father. She also revealed the wild way in which Musk seduced her

Amber Heard hopes her defamation trial will ‘mean something’ to Oonagh Paige one day

In June 2023, sources told PEOPLE that Heard was “still upset” following the jury’s verdict in the defamation case. Despite feeling “disappointed” however, the actress added that she was looking forward to spending more time with Oonagh Paige.

“For now, she wants to just focus on her baby girl,” an insider said at the time. “The trial took away a lot of special mommy time. Amber is looking forward to a summer with her daughter and family.”

That same month, Heard told Today’s Savannah Guthrie that she was most looking forward to spending time with her daughter now that the trial had ended. “I get to be a mom, like, full-time, you know? Where I’m not having to juggle calls with lawyers,” she said.

Guthrie then asked her: “One day you may want to tell your daughter about this or have to tell your daughter about everything that you’ve gone through. What would you want to say?” Heard replied: “I think no matter what it will mean something. I did the right thing. I did everything I could to stand up for myself and the truth.”

Where is Amber Heard now?

After the trial’s verdict was announced and the two actors eventually settled in December 2022, Heard moved from Yucca Valley, California, to Spain. A source told PEOPLE that Heard had been receiving countless death threats and became the subject of cruel internet memes, making her feel like there was too much “chaos” in the US.
