Celebrity dramas aren’t always messy but when they do get out of hand, those involved have no other choice but to let the rest of the world witness it. While before people had to wait for tabloids to spill the tea, nowadays, all we commoners need to do in order to stay up to date with the latest celebrity gossip is to check our screens. But no matter how well versed you are in the private lives of the rich and famous, we’re pretty sure there are a few shocking moments that could have slipped past your attention. Don’t stress though—we’re here to freshen up your memory. Here are some of the juiciest rumbles in the celebrity jungle that you may have forgotten.

1. Taylor Swift and Kanye West

Back in 2009, rapper Kanye West—who now goes by the name Ye—interrupted then-19-year-old singer Taylor Swift’s VMA acceptance speech for best video because he thought Beyoncé deserved it more than ‘America’s sweetheart’. Swift gingerly stood there looking as uncomfortable as would be expected. Understandably, the moment fueled the battle of a decade.

2. Martha Stewart and Gwyneth Paltrow

Back in 2014, American business woman and Snoop Dogg’s bestie Martha Stewart seemed to think that actress Gwyneth Paltrow was treading on her money-making toes. Quite obviously threatened, Stewart told Porter that “she just needs to be quiet,” adding, “She’s a movie star. If she were confident in her acting, she wouldn’t be trying to be Martha Stewart.” Her controversial statement came a few months after Paltrow hired the former CEO at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, as her own company, goop’s, CEO. Oopsie.

As reported by E! News, Stewart further commented in a later interview that she wished “every young entrepreneur well” and hoped for “many, many, many different kinds of entrepreneurs.” Oh, but before saying those kind words, she also stated, “I don’t follow goop.” Bitter much, Martha?

3. Orlando Bloom and Justin Bieber

Canadian singer Justin Bieber performed at the 2012 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, remember that? Well, before Bloom became loved up with Katy Perry and the Biebs got married to Hailey Bieber, Bloom used to be with model Miranda Kerr, who was walking in the show, while Bieber was on and off with Selena Gomez.

As you can imagine, sneaky speculations leaked that Bieber was flirting with Kerr, Bloom got jealous, and subsequently both singer and actor broke up with their respective partners the year after, leaving everybody single and free to do what they wanted (including cosying up to newly single supermodels).

By 2014, Bloom and Bieber heated up Ibiza with a punch or two—as TMZ reported at the time, Bloom went for the young singer and the crowd apparently applauded as Bieber left.

4. Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj

Singers Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj have allegedly never seen eye to eye, although both denied it back in 2013. That was until a video surfaced of the two divas arguing at an audition. Both seemingly laid low for a couple of years after that, but when Carey went on Watch What Happens Live, she refused to answer anything about Minaj apart from when the host Andy Cohen asked her to say something nice about her, to which Carey replied by asking him in return “Can you?” Awkward!

5. Vin Diesel and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson

While filming the Fate of the Furious in 2017, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson posted on Instagram with a message pointing towards his costar Vin Diesel. It said “My female co-stars are always amazing and I love ’em. My male co-stars, however, are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken s— to do anything about it anyway. Candy a—-.” The post has since been deleted.

Diesel confronted Johnson the day after the post was published, obviously leading to an argument—one I’m sure we’re all grateful not to have been involved in, the sheer size of them both looks scary enough from the other side of the screen, thanks. Their mutual love of the movie saga was the aloe vera to the burn though, as the two stars are like brothers part of the same family. According to Vanity Fair, Johnson reported that “we still love each other, that’s my boy.”

6. Kim Kardashian and Chloë Grace Moretz

Actress Chloë Grace Moretz had something to say when reality TV star Kim Kardashian posted an almost nude photo of herself on Twitter in 2016. Moretz tweeted, “I truly hope you realise how important setting goals are for young women, teaching them we have so much more to offer than just our bodies.”

Kardashian responded by writing, “Let’s all welcome @ChloeGMoretz to Twitter, since no one knows who she is. Your Nylon cover is cute boo.” She went on to physically send the actress a bottle of her KKW Fragrance Kimoji Hearts Bae Perfume as a Valentine’s Day gift in 2018, which Moretz claimed to leave unopened. In 2019, the actress was accused of hypocrisy for posting a ‘topless’ photo on the beach as her bikini straps were not visible. Moretz deleted the post after all the Kardashian fans raised alarms.

7. Nicki Minaj and Cardi B

Rappers Nicki Minaj and Cardi B got physical at the 2018 Harper’s Bazaar ICONS party in New York. According to Cosmopolitan, Cardi B was seen throwing her shoe at Minaj, only for the two to be separated by their bodyguards—and somehow, Cardi B was the one to be recorded leaving the party with a bump on her forehead. Damn, Nicki.

She also posted directly to Minaj about it on her Instagram writing that she had “addressed you once in person, I addressed you a second time in person, and every time you copped the plea!! But when you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother, make comments about my abilities to take care of my daughter is when all betts are f—– off!!” Minaj denied the remarks and left it all at that, but according to Variety, the rapper claimed to be mortified by the fight as well as humiliated.

8. Tyra Banks and Naomi Campbell

Supermodels Tyra Banks and Naomi Campbell had an intense feud back in the early 90s. Banks revealed that she didn’t feel welcomed by Campbell when she was the new girl on the modelling scene. Another waft of jealousy, do we sense? It was revealed by People that Banks felt that “as much as I was booking every single fashion show, people didn’t know I was going home at night crying my eyes out because a woman I was looking up to seemed like she just didn’t want me to be there.” She continued, “and was doing everything in her power to make me go away.”

They both seemed to have buried the hatchet as they focused on their careers, up until 2020 when the rumours reignited as Campbell shared an article by TheThings on her Instagram story titled Here’s Why Fans Are Starting To Think Tyra Banks Is The Real Mean Girl, Not Naomi Campbell. Who knows?

9. Machine Gun Kelly and Eminem

Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) once tweeted about seeing a photo of rapper Eminem‘s teenage daughter Hailie saying, “I have to say, she is hot as f***.” Eminem didn’t respond until he released the track ‘Not Alike’, with the lyrics “I’m talkin’ to you, but you already know who the f*** you are, Kelly. I don’t use sublims and sure as f*** don’t sneak-diss. But keep commenting on my daughter Hailie.”

After that, Kelly released a track dissing the Detroit rapper back, by using his song ‘Rap Devil’ as a play on Eminem’s 2013 tune ‘Rap God’ where he referenced the rapper’s sobriety and age within the lyrics “You’re sober and bored, huh (I know). About to be 46 years old, dog.” Although there have been claims that Kelly has since apologised, we’ve got some serious reasons not to be fans of his

10. Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan

Let’s end on the OG drama queens of the 2000s. The Hilton fortune heiress, Paris, and Mean Girls star Lindsay Lohan have been at war since 2006 when Lohan started dating Hilton’s ex-boyfriend Stavros Niarchos. Since then, they’ve been throwing blows at each other in public. Hilton publicly accused Lohan of being a pathological liar on Instagram, among other unmentionable words. I mean, she did completely abolish the girl code rule book, so it’s fair enough.

According to Vanity Fair, Hilton now claims that the two have finally put the past where it should be, behind them, because, in her words, “they’re not in high school anymore.” How very mature of you Paris. Also, the fact that Lohan is now engaged (and unavailable to steal any more ex-boyfriends) and Hilton is married also helps, I reckon.
