Kim Kardashian just dropped a massive bomb in the second episode of The Kardashians. The episode, which aired on Wednesday 4 October 2023, showed Kim explaining why she values her close friendship with Tristan Thompson, aka Khloe’s cheater ex-boyfriend.

Thompson has two children with the reality TV star and has been the source of a lot of drama for both Khloe and her entire family. Previously, Kim has been highly critical of the basketball player but has been civil with him for Khloe’s sake. Thompson infamously cheated on Khloe multiple times—once with Kylie Jenner’s former best friend Jordyn Woods—and had a child with another woman while he was still dating the Kardashian sister.

While Khloe has previously stated that reconciliation with the father of her children was off the table, it seems as though Kim might have changed her tune regarding her relationship with the athlete. Over the past few months, Kim has been spotted at a number of Thomspon’s basketball games, as well as sharing her love and care for him online. And, in the latest episode of the reality TV show, Kim shared: “Ugh, I know you guys are gonna hate me for this, and you’re gonna hate us,” before going on to state that “he’s such a good friend.”

“It’s so crazy because he’s such a good friend and he’s such a good dad, but he just couldn’t get it together in that area of, like, being a faithful boyfriend. You wanna obviously hate him for that. Yeah, of course, his actions and who he was, like, so fucked up—I can’t deny that,” the reality TV star continued.

Kim also shared how Thompson had been there for her during her divorce from Kanye West: “When he saw me struggling with my kids, he stepped up, he started showing up to the games, he picked Saint up, took them to dinner and will always come to my defence, especially if it’s stuff with me and my ex. I just never forgot that, so I’ll never really throw someone away and act like I don’t feel they can grow and evolve.”

Khloe and Kim are incredibly close, and while Khloe hasn’t publicly stated that she’s annoyed or angry at Kim for becoming so close to Thompson, I can imagine that we’ll definitely see some Tristan-related dramas unfurl this season.
