Is Naya Rivera missing?

Former Glee star, Naya Rivera is missing after her four-year-old son was found alone on a boat on Lake Piru, California. Rivera had apparently rented a boat on Wednesday 8 July with her son, who was later seen on his own by another boat passing by. Shortly after this was reported, authorities launched a boat and helicopter search during the afternoon, which will continue at first light on Thursday morning.

What happened to Naya Rivera’s son, Josey?

Rivera’s 4-year-old son, Josey, was spotted asleep wearing a life jacket and alone on board the drifting boat, just three hours after they had left the dock. Rivera had tweeted a picture of her and her son together on Tuesday with the caption “just the two of us.”

Who is Naya Rivera?

Rivera began her career as a child actress and model. She appeared in many different TV commercials in the US. At four-year-old, she starred in the Royal Family sitcom. But it was her role as cold-hearted cheerleader Santana Lopez in Glee that truly made her a star in the US.

The 33-year-old had been married to actor Ryan Dorsey, the father of their son, but the couple divorced in 2018. She also dated Glee co-star Mark Salling who killed himself after pleading guilty to child pornography charges in 2018.

As hashtags such as #FindNaya, #FindNayaRivera and #PrayForNaya are trending on Twitter, Josey is safe and the search goes on.
